Using winches for maintenance on a pellet machine

Our customer, CPM, specializes in pellet machines that transform products from their natural state to a granular form through compression. This versatile machine is widely used for pelletizing materials in industries such as wood processing, fertilizers, animal feed, and other ecological sectors.

In their presses, they incorporate a manual winch to assist with grounding and lifting of essential components, like the die—a perforated tool that compresses and extrudes material to form pellets. This winch enables safe, precise positioning, allowing for easy maintenance or replacement of the die when needed.

The die requires regular maintenance based on the type of material being processed and the level of wear from continuous operation. Maintenance frequency can vary significantly, typically ranging from once a month to every six months, depending on operational intensity and material characteristics.

This efficient manual winch system makes routine maintenance faster and safer, reducing downtime and ensuring that CPM’s pellet machines continue to perform at peak efficiency.
