The name of this winch implies that it belongs to the robust winches which are often used in the environment of salt water, such as the marine and offshore industry. With its IP54 rating, this marine winch is resistant to splash water and dust on the inside. The winch has three layers of paint in accordance with the C5M offshore coating standard, which means that the winch is equipped with extra layers of paint which ensures a high corrosion resistance level. In addition the coating, the marine winch has a drum and crank made out of 316 stainless steel.
