Rotating a military radar
Raytheon Technologies is a leading provider of advanced systems and technologies for the commercial aviation and defense industries. A recent example of their practical innovations is a study in which they examined the use of a winch mechanism to facilitate the manual operation of a jack on a trailer equipped with a military radar. This trailer-mounted radar is an essential yet often heavy and bulky system. The objective of this project was to investigate whether the winch mechanism could offer a reliable and efficient solution for easily and safely positioning the radar during operational missions.
