Are different finishes available?

There are several finishing options available for the housing of the hand winch. The standard finish of the Gebuwin hand winch includes a layer of paint, with our winches being painted in gray. A paint layer typically has a thickness between 60 and 100 microns and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

For additional protection, the winch can be electrolytically zinc-coated, providing a stronger protective layer than a paint layer. Another option is to apply two layers of paint, with a total thickness ranging between 120 and 220 microns, providing better protection against corrosion.

If this is still not sufficient, there are three other options available. Firstly, you can opt for some winches made of stainless steel 304. (not all winches are available in stainless steel 304) this material offers good corrosion protection.
If the winches are to be used near seawater, you can consider the two other options.The first one is a generous layer according to the C5 offshore coating. This coating consists of 3 paint layers and provides protection up to 300 microns.The last and most robust finish for the hand winches is fully stainless steel 316, which is suitable for use near seawater.
