When do I need an accessory?

When using hand winches or electric winches, a cable is always essential. Therefore, we offer three different types of cables: galvanized, stainless steel, and dyneema, ranging in diameters from 4 mm to 22 mm. These cables are available with or without a hook to hoist the load. Additionally, we also offer sheave blocks to correctly position the cable.

Sheave blocks are crucial for guiding the cable correctly. During installation, the winch is often not placed directly above the load, but against a wall or on the ground. Therefore, the cable must be positioned with sheave blocks so that it comes out directly above the load. Usually, two sheave blocks are needed (although this depends on the situation and environment). The first sheave block is positioned directly above the winch at a 90-degree angle, guiding the cable straight up and then around the pulley. The second sheave block is positioned directly above the load, allowing the cable to come out directly above it.

Our sheave blocks are available in two versions with capacities ranging from 150 kg to 7.5 tons: painted with a cast iron wheel or the fully stainless steel version. The stainless steel version is particularly suitable for extreme conditions, such as environments with saltwater, to be used in conjunction with our stainless steel hand winches.

Another essential accessory is the auxiliary motors. Manual operation is sometimes not very practical or desired, so we have designed an auxiliary motor with a maximum speed of 120 revolutions per minute. These motors are available in two versions: pneumatic or 230V electric. Both can be used on our worm gear hand winches starting from 1000 kg.

The electric motor (EM 5000) can be easily connected to 230V and operated manually. This significantly reduces the load on the user. The pneumatic motor, certified for zone 22, offers a complete Atex lifting solution because our worm gear hand winches are also available Atex certified.
