Explore a detailed showcase of our products through real examples. With in-depth descriptions and accompanying images, we provide a clear view of how our products are used within each specific industry.
Measuring small lakes
During dredging in small lakes or canals, it is important to be able to measure the depth properly. Since large vessels with expensive equipment cannot be placed on small lakes or canals, a manual measuring instrument was chosen.
Water treatment plant
Our davit cranes are widely used in industrial environments, particularly within water treatment plants. These facilities demand reliable, robust and flexible solutions for safely and efficiently lifting and moving heavy equipment. Our davit cranes are designed with these demanding conditions in mind. The stainless steel davit crane easily lower and lift the pumps in and out of the treatment basins.
With the use of our specially designed wall sockets, the davit crane can safely and securely be installed against the wall. These wall sockets provide a stable base and are engineered to withstand corrosion.
Lowering a mast
In this case our electric winches, e-W3000, have been installed on several tugboats. Our electric winches are used to hoist and lower the mast when the tugboats work alongside aircraft carriers. Before the installement of our electric winches hand winches were used to hoist and lower the mast, but for safety reasons, an electric winch from Gebuwin was installed. The crew can now operate the winch from a long distance while the mast is in motion. A offshore coating is applied on our winches in addition to stainless steel components.
Handling large and heavy cages in a fish farm
The Norwegian aquaculture industry is constantly expanding and requires quality equipment. An occupation on these fish farms is handling the large enclosures, which serve as breeding grounds for the fish. The winches, MR3000 SST, are used to pull the cages out of the water, facilitating maintenance tasks and other necessary activities.
Opening Locks in harbor
The use of our marine hand winches, MR3000 C5M, to lift locks at large filters for cleaning at a refinery in the port of Rotterdam. Lifting the locks can be done manually but our customer chose for a compressed air motor.
Maritime gangway
In the world of maritime operations, safety and efficiency are paramount. For our client, these principles needed to be upheld in the operation of a gangway – a critical passageway facilitating boarding, disembarking and maintenance activities on their vessels. The challenge? A winch resistant to seawater corrosion and ATEX zon 2 certified. Gebuwin provided the solution with our stainless steel worm gear hand winch MR1500 SST.
Collapsible mast
The Ionic Anax is a crude oil tanker that was built in 2017 and like many other ships, the upper mast is collapsible. This is because it sometimes needs to be tilted for maintenance or when the ship needs to sail under a bridge.
The upper mast weighs about 2500 kg and since this ship is sailing over seas a stainless steel winch is needed to endure the rough conditions. Our marine grade hand winch, MR3000 SST, in full stainless steel 316 is used for this application.
Offshore windmill park
As an example, Gebuwin’s hand winchesm MR5000 SST, are used in wind energy to keep the blades of wind turbines, which are placed on the North Sea by ships, in position on the ships. Due to possible severe weather conditions, it is important that the blades do not shift. Slings are stretched over the blades to keep them in place. A tensioning capacity of 5 tonnes is required for this application.
Clean Sea Solutions
Clean Sea Solutions is a company that is in the process of developing the best solutions to catch the big amounts of pollution in ports all over the world. One of the resources the company uses to do this is the Aquapod. The Aquapod is an active collection system for marine pollution an it is being used at the Leuvehaven(Harbor) in Rotterdam.
To give the operator of the Aquapod a hand, a davit crane, SD125 from Gebuwin was installed on the Aquapod. This makes it easy to lift the big-bags from the Aquapod, which allows the operator to work a lot more efficiently. Nice to see that Gebuwin’s davit crane can contribute to the process for a cleaner world!
Winches in the dairy industry
Our winches are also widely used in the dairy industry. In this application, the winch is used to pull filter hoses tight in a filter cabinet. Each cabinet holds 32 or 64 fabric filter hoses. Filter boxes are machines commonly found in the dairy industry.
A stainless steel steel version winch was chosen because of hygiene and the factory’s outgoing air concerns, as no rust may form there. The winch is only operatied twiche a year, which is why a MR500 SST was chosen instead of an electric winch. A hand winch is also safer than an electric winch in this case.
Moving boats
In this application, our winches are used to get boats such as the one shown in the picture onto the shore and back into storage. As these boats are too heavy to push by hand they decided to use one of our elctric winches, the e-W1000. For moving the boat a cable is used and this cable will be attached to the hook on the front of the boat. After making sure the cable is properly attached the winch can be used to move the boat back to the storage location.
